I am immensely pleased to know that the newly elected Executive Committee of the Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladesh (SAAB) is contemplating to redesign and launch SAAB Website. This indeed is a great initiative. It not only paves the way to easily know about SAAB, its members, their profession, workplace, whereabouts, mission and vision of SAAB etc. but at the same time may be used as a springboard for wider and closer networking among ourselves. As one scans through the pages of the website, s/he cannot but sense the feeling of what a great organization SAAB is- it is literally a reservoir of talents, knowledge and expertise in different areas of science and technology. Members of SAAB predominantly have been educated in an environment of international brotherhood and solidarity while at the same time remain committed to selfless service to the nation and people at large. I can very confidently say that every single member of SAAB is endowed with a rare quality called ‘humanism’, and I believe, this is the most important factor behind the success of our members in their respective professions. When the nation is set to reform the state and governance in the spirit of non-discrimination and equality, SAAB is eminently qualified to make its significant contribution to that end. We cannot fail our mission to build an egalitarian society. Please allow me to say a big THANK YOU to all those involved with the designing and launching of the Website. Deep in our hearts we know that ‘None and nothing is forgotten!’
